By hosting international forums focused on accomplishments achieved by Resource Recycling Forum-Taiwan’07, the Executive Yuan’s Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) hopes to disseminate the Recycling Fund Management Board’s outstanding achievements in various fields during the past 10 years. Experts and scholars (who specialize in ELV, electronic waste, used batteries such as lead acid batteries and dry cells, and waste container recycling) in Taiwan and from abroad have been invited to give keynote speeches and participate in large seminars during the forum. This would also accomplish the objective of voicing out to the international community. According to the contents of the Recycling Fund Management Board’s plan for the Resource Recycling Forum – Ten year experience (1997-2007) (the plan) and resolutions from several meetings, various operations such as relevant preparations for the event (contacting relevant personnel, arranging schedule), promotional activities, making of objects and props to be used during the forum, venue decoration, translation, meal arrangements and so forth have already been carried out. During the period from October 1st to October 5th, four forum sessions of on-site tour, conferences (including small seminars and large forum discussions) and press events of ELV, electronic waste, used batteries (lead acid batteries, dry cells) and waste container recycling facilities in Taiwan were successfully held.
